During the five and a half year life span of the program Emvolia-zoume: children without insurance, not without protection”, 5.707 children have being vaccinated by the organization Mission ANTHROPOS using 19.152 vaccines, immunizing the children against 42.668 diseases.

The volunteer doctors of the organization examined the children every two months until they completed their vaccination scheme. Since July 2012, 2.650 children have been vaccinated once, 1.386 children twice, 711 children 3 times, 408 children 4 times, 230 children 5 times , 160 children 6 times, 82 children 7 times, 40 children 8 times, 27 children 9 times, 12 children 10 times and 1 child 11 times.

The program was implemented in collaboration with 26 municipalities which cover 7 different areas of Greece and the Department of Social Medicine of the “Pan. and Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital. Children in the care of other organizations, such as: SOS Children’s Village , PRAKSIS (in Athens and Thessaloniki), Caritas-Center for Refugees, Kivotos tou Kosmou, Ena pedi Enas Kosmos, Filoi tou Pediou, Estia Koritsiou “Filothei i Athinea” and Faros tou Kosmou (Thessaloniki) are also vaccinated through this program.

The program was funded by grants from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the Bodossaki Foundation, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, Desmos in collaboration with Paul & Alexandra Kanellopoulos, Fondation de l'Entraide Hellenique de Lausanne and Aegean Airlines.
